SoLA Con - Inaugural STEM Conference

​

SoLA Robotics proudly presents SoLA CON 2024, an interactive youth and family STEM conference on Saturday, February 17, 2024. SoLA Con aims to showcase and celebrate the achievements of SoLA Robotics students, providing them with a platform to demonstrate their skills and passion for robotics and coding. SoLA CON also seeks to bridge the gap between education and real-world applications, encouraging youth and families to explore S.T.E.M. and engineering fields.

Conference Goals

​

  • Trailblazers in STEM presentations by Jennifer Lashley (SoLA Robotics), Amen Rahh (Get Knowlej), Simone Giertz (Yetch Store) and Sam Goff (Black N Animated).

  • Interactive Activities: Participants engaged in friendly Robot Trials, showcasing their robotics prowess in a competitive yet collaborative environment.

  • STEM Connections: Demonstrations that link robotics and coding classes to specific STEM and engineering fields foster a deeper understanding of the practical applications of education.

  • Mid-Year Experience: Offering a unique opportunity for schools and students to celebrate achievements, reflect on progress, and prepare for the SoLA Youth Showdown, a robotics competition.

  • Community Engagement: Creating a community atmosphere where family members can actively participate and engage, fostering a supportive network for students.
